On Aug. 19, the three daughters of David and Sandra Stoy of Otego, along with their husbands, held an open house, at the Otego American Legion Pavilion, in celebration of their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. More than 100 family and friends attended. There were guests from North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, and from all over New York state.

David and Sandra were married in the Gilbertsville Presbyterian Church on Aug. 18, 1962, and moved to their present home in Otego in 1966. David retired in 1996 after teaching science at the Oneonta City School District for 34 years, and Sandra retired from the Gilbertsville-Mount Upton School District in 1999 after 29 years of teaching.
