All family members were present to celebrate the occasion, marking the first time in almost 10 years that the whole family has been together in one place. Guests included the couple’s sister-in-law, Cecelia Tatara of Oakdale on Long Island, and their niece, Vicki Goldstein of Flushing.
Alex and Joan were dairy farmers, living just outside of Garrattsville for many years, where they raised not only their children, but opened their home to almost 50 foster children ranging from newborns to senior teens.
