---- — Downtown Norwich will be bustling with art and entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m. today as the sixth Fourth Friday art walk and two separate fine art shows get underway.
Each month up to a dozen merchants display fine art and photography in their storefront windows as part of a downtown Norwich art walk. Following the art walk, where people can attend at their own leisure, both The Artists’ Palette and Made in Chenango will feature solo artist exhibits. At Made In Chenango potter, Ede Walker’s work will be on display and there will be refreshments by Serendipity and coffee by locally made Fojo Bean Roasters.
Photographer/painter Catrina Phetteplace will have about 20 new works on display at The Artists’ Palette. Over the past year Phetteplace, who paints mostly abstract images, has included an array of strikingly large and color orientated pieces.
In addition to the gallery opening there will be light refreshments and music provided by Mike Whitney, an acoustic guitar player from the Barefoot Betty Band.
Admission is free and ope to the public. For more information about upcoming events or how to become part of the Art Walk, call Kraft at 607-244-1445.
