Smith has sung in Europe, South America, Great Britain and Scandinavia to critical acclaim. At home, Smith, a bass, has sung with New York City Opera, Carnegie Hall and other major venues. Recently, Smith finished a recording of Civil War songs, titled “One Nation, Indivisible.”
Bouillon grew up in Upstate New York and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Liberty University. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a Master of Music degree in vocal performance. Since graduation in May 2012, Joshua has participated in numerous Young Artist programs, including Green Mountain Opera, Opera North, and the Crescendo Summer Institute. He made his first European concert and opera debut in the summer, singing two solo recitals in Normandy and performing Don Ottavio in “Don Giovanni” in Hungary.
Rehearsal conductor Tracey Allen is a music teacher at Richfield Springs Central School and the Children’s Chorus Master for the Glimmerglass Festival. She was a member of the Glimmerglass Adult Chorus from 1968 until 2012. She holds degrees in music education and vocal performance from the Crane School of Music. She lives in West Winfield. This is her 11th Messiah with Voices of Cooperstown.
