The Out of the Woodwork Players will continue its 25th anniversary season April 4, 5 and 6 with “The Sound of Music.”
Dave and Mary Dugan of Morris lead the cast as Austria’s Capt. Georg and Maria von Trapp, joined by their children, Mollie and Dave Jr., in the roles of Brigitta and Kurt. Siblings Johanna and Elliot Iversen of Franklin play von Trapp sister and brother, Marta and Friedrich, while their dad, James Iversen plays Franz the von Trapp butler opposite Deb Brennesholtz (Sidney) as housekeeper Frau Schmidt. Completing the cast of von Trapp children are Otego’s Miriam Thurber as Liesl, the one in love with Rolf, played by Nolan Erckert, and Bethany Shaw and Clare Sullivan of Bainbridge as Louisa and Gretl, respectively.
Captain von Trapp’s circle of family friends includes Elsa Schraeder, played by Judy Pitel, and Max Detweiler, played by Dan Spencer.
Leading the Nonnberg Abbey family of nuns is Marjorie Pipes as the Mother Abbess. Donna Cuyle, Leslie Tallmadge and Sue Szigeti play sisters Berthe, Sophia and Margareta, respectively.
Several area students and adults complete the cast of nuns, postulants, Austrian neighbors and military men.
Performers will be 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6.
