---- — Bainbridge Town Hall Theater and Gallery will host a performance and an art show on Saturday.
Tommy Klehr will show his art in the gallery while bluegrass band Remington Ryde performs in the theater.
Klehr is a self-taught artist who paints in the style referred to as Outsider Art. He has been painting for about 15 years.
According to a media release said that whenever inspiration strikes, Klehr paints on whatever he can find if he is out of canvases. He has at times painted on sheets and pillowcases stapled to the walls of his studio because once he has an idea he must paint it.
He has shown his work at Community Artist Network of Oneonta, the Sidney Library, and Crossroads Café.
No admission is charged for the gallery shows.
The show will be open from 7 to 10 p.m.
Remington Ryde will perform at 8 p.m. The band was formed in November 2002 to promote bluegrass in
Pennsylvania. The group has released four full length albums and one single, “I’ll Wait for You,” that has been played by bluegrass radio stations throughout the country. It also hosts the annual Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival in Centre Hall, Pa.
