Series to kick off with City of the Hills Chorus

The New Berlin Art Forum will kick off its 2013-14 series with a performance of the City of the Hills Chorus on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Unadilla Valley Central School Auditorium.

The group is chartered with Sweet Adelines International since 1985 and has been singing four-part harmony ever since. Singing modern show tunes, ragtime, toe-tappers, pop tunes and old favorites in the barbershop style, the group offers entertainment in the Oneonta/Cooperstown area and have now been brought to New Berlin to start off the New Berlin Art Forum 39th Performing Arts Season.

The remaining concerts of the season will be Crabgrass Puppets, which will perform at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Unadilla Valley Central School Auditorium; Flame at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Unadilla Valley Central School Auditorium; Ceili Rain at 7 p.m. March 8 at 7 p.m. at the Unadilla Valley Central School Auditoriu; and Rob Norris at 7 p.m. April 26 at the Chase Community Center.

Raffle tickets are available from board members and at all performances, and winners will be drawn at the April 26 performance.

The raffle prizes this year are first, $100 Gift Certificate; second, New Berlin Art Forum 2014-15 Family Membership; third, 12-by-16-inch, Framed Original Photograph of a New York State Water Fall; fourth, $25 New York Pizzeria Gift Card; and fifth, a Ceili Rain CD. Raffle tickets are $1each or six for $5.

Season tickets are available from board of directors members in the following categories: Senior Citizen & Student, $25; Adult, $35; Family, $60; Patron, $100; Sponsor, $150; Benefactor and Angel $500 or more.

Tickets for individual performances are available at the New Berlin Library, Service Pharmacy and at the door the evening of the performance for $10 each.
