---- — There will video installations by award-winning media artist and choreographer Pooh Kaye on view at the Taste of the Catskills Festival in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday.
The festival is at Maple Shade Farm at 2066 County Highway 18. The exhibit will be in the top floor of the Maple Shade Farm’s big yellow barn.
The event will feature the premier of a handheld single frame video installation starring Alex Clack, called “Yachta Yadda.” According to a media release, “It is a challenging yacht ride in which large garden machines, a ladder and a large amount of earth is employed to create a backyard pond with disastrous results.”
There will be other viewing experiences, including video hidden inside farm equipment, layered projections and ambulatory objects on the floor.
Kaye’s stop-motion films have won prizes and been exhibited internationally. Her 2011 digitally re-edited version of her 1993 stop-motion film “The Painted Princess won the top award at the 2011 Artists of the Hudson Mohawk exhibit. her live-action, stop-motion film called “Spring Cleaning,” commissioned by EMPAC in Troy was exhibited at The Proctor Museum in Utica, won a purchase award from the Hyde Collection in Hyde Falls in 2012 and was recently exhibited at the Walter Reade Theater as a part of the 2012 Dance on Camera Festival.
