Group extends photo exhibit

The Delaware County Historical Association will extend an exhibition of local photojournalist Bob Wyer’s work through the end February rather than closing at the end of January.

During his career — which ran from the later 1930s into the 1970s — Wyer photographed both the relatively mundane and the sensational, a media release said.

The DCHA is two miles north on Delhi on state Highway 10. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. For more details, call 746-3849 or go to www.dcha-ny.org.

Open Eye to stage ‘The Lamp’

The Open Eye Theater at 960 Main St. in Margaretville will resume Tuesdays at the Theater starting with “The Lamp” at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The show focuses on Stanley, who suffers from the loss of his only child, secluding himself in a dark and lonely place. The show features Roger Nix, Jason London, Meredith Salenger, Sarah Brown and Laverne Scott Caldwell.

The performance is free, with donations accepted. For details, call (845) 568-1660.

Open Eye also seeks local and statewide submissions of stories, poems, songs, plays, monologues and other original creations on the subject of love for its “February Fantasia.”

The pieces should be no more than 10 minutes in performance length. Those selected will perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 and 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at the theater.

To submit works, send documents in Word or Acrobat format to Laura Battelani at bodyworz@catskillnet. Put “February Fantasia” in the subject line and include contact information.
