---- — The Cooperstown Art Association will present the 23rd Annual Fenimore Quilt Club Show, opening Saturday and running through Feb. 24. The show will feature about 100 quilts and quilted items in traditional and contemporary designs. Many quilts featured in the show will also be for sale.
Members of the Fenimore Quilt Club will be present each day to demonstrate quilting techniques and to answer questions about the craft. This year’s show will also feature a queen-size raffle quilt made by all the members of the Fenimore Quilt Club. The quilt features images of buildings, each produced by a different club member. Tickets are available at $1 each or six for $5. The winning ticket will be drawn Feb. 24. Proceeds will benefit the quilt club.
Also for sale during the show will be donated fabric scraps, pieces, yardage, discontinued quilt books and magazines. Proceeds from the fabric sales benefit the local Cooperstown Food Pantry.
The gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except Sundays, when it will be open from 1 to 4 p.m., for the duration of the exhibit. The CAA galleries are in the Village Building at 22 Main St. on the corner of Fair Street. For more information, call the CAA at 547-9777 or Jean Lyon at 547-2709, or visit www.cooperstownart.com.
