The Unitarian Universalist Society and the Little Victory Players will present the ninth annual March Madness Dessert Theatre — a night of comic theater, music, desserts, wine and other beverages — at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 12 Ford Ave. in Oneonta.
Actors from the UU congregation and the community, along with musical director Tim Horne, director Ernie Schenk from the Little Victory Players and director Diana Friedell, will present Cole Porter songs and short players. The performances will approach love and relationships from different directions.
All the stages of love, measured in post-it notes left on the kitchen counter, will be featured in performance by Ben and Diana Friedell. In “Benny and the Woman,” a man — played by Scott West — tries to befriend an upset woman, played by Christine Juliano, in the park.
Other plays will include the David Ives’ shows “English Made Simple” and “The Philadelphia,” as well as “Miss You” and a play by Steven Dietz. Other performers are Zoe Curtis, Duncan and Grace Smith, Caley Sharatt, Rachel Ainslie-Hamblin, Schenk, Chava Granett and Khalil Jade.
Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for students. For tickets and more information, call 433-2089 or email email@example.com.
