---- — Family band to play in Bainbridge

The Bainbridge Town Hall Theatre will host the Atkinson Family at 8 p.m. Saturday at 15 N. Main St. in Bainbridge.

The band is Dick Atkinson on banjo, Shelene and Liza Atkinson on guitar and vocals, as well as Laura Atkinson on bass and vocals. Also playing Saturday will be 2003 National Dobro Champion Dave Bevins and Nick Piccininni, who will perform on mandolin and fiddle.

Celtic musician to perform at 6OTS

Guitar, cittern and mandolin player Robin Bullock will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 6 On The Square at 6 LaFayette Park in downtown Oxford.

Bullock blends the songs of ancient Celtic melodies and roots music traditions of the New York, mixing past and present styles, a media release said. This brings together Celtic and Appalachian bluegrass, with Irish jigs and reels, ballads of southern Appalachia and original compositions.

The musician has been featured on National Public Radio’s “The Thistle and Shamrock,” and he has released more than eight albums along with numerous collaborations.

Musical fundraiser set in Treadwell

Franklin and New York City resident John O’Connor will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Bright Hill Literary Center at 94 Church St. in Treadwell. The show will serve as a fundraiser for the library. Admission to the show is free, with free-will donations accepted. Those who donate $15 will receive an album of O’Connor’s music.

With more than 40 years as professional musician, O’Connor has traveled the U.S. playing for labor education classes, high schools, colleges, folk festivals and concerts.
