Singer/songwriter Luba Dvorak will join regional roots-rockers Esquela at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at B Side Ballroom in Oneonta’s Clinton Plaza.
Dvorak, in black attire and armed with an acoustic guita,r has been called a Dylan-Forbert-Springsteen-Cash combo with his earthy vocal style and enticing storytelling.
Luba’s new release “Starr Street Blues” is a six-song collective giving an introspective road map of the modern day troubadour, touching on social and personal issues along with bringing to life his brand of “New York Swaggerin’ Country Fried Rock and Roll,” according to a media release.
Esquela features vocalist Rebecca Frame and guitarist Brian Shafer, as well as front-man/co-writer John “Chico” Finn on bass and vocals, Todd Russell on drums and vocals, Matt Woodin on guitar and mandolin, and Ira McIntosh on guitar and vocals.
Esquela was co-founded by industry veteran Keith Christopher. Christopher co-wrote its latest release ‘Are We Rolling?’ with Finn.
