Exhibit to feature oil paintings

Oil paintings by Marjorie W. Harris will be displayed at 6 On The Square at 6 LaFayette Park in Oxford on Friday, April 5. The exhibit will open with an art reception from 6 to 8 p.m. and will run through May 31.

Harris — who grew up near Unadilla and worked on a farm in Guilford — finds inspiration in her love of life, nature, interesting people and animals, a media release said.

The artist studied with internationally acclaimed Austrian artist Ernestine Bucking, a “romantic realism” painter, and Robert Warren.
