---- — The Artists’ Palette will host its annual membership show as part of Fourth Friday festivities starting at 5 p.m. today in downtown Norwich.
Fourth Friday will begin with an art walk showcasing artists’ work throughout the downtown area. Spanning the NBT Bank lobby to the front windows of Hayes Office Products, there will be a variety of media inside the stores or in the storefronts of several merchants.
A compete list of artists and merchants can be found at the Artists’ Palette at 29 S. Broad St. The shop will host an opening reception for the member show at 6 p.m. at the Jill Kraft Gallery inside. The exhibit will feature original works and prints of about 12 member artists.
“This is the first time I have pulled all my artists in for such an elaborate show,” Kraft said. “Each artist will have up to three pieces on display. … All of my members’ art is strikingly different, which should make the show not only unique, but also diverse for sure.”
The free reception will include light refreshments and a performance by Bruce Honeywell, who will play music from the 1960s through today.
