The West Kortright Centre will present the roots band Birds of Chicago at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The couple, who are are coming off a tour of the U.K. and Ireland, will bring with them their 5-month-old daughter. The two have performed previously with other bands — Russell with Po’ Girl and Nero with JT and the Clouds — but first collaborated as JT Nero on 2011’s “Mountains/Forests.” The eponymous Birds of Chicago debut album was released in october 2014. The Chicago Tribute wrote that Nero and Russell “project organic gospel, hillbilly, folk and soul elements that bridge traditional and modern approaches.”
