The 2014 summer concert series sponsored by the Richfield Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will begin Wednesday with Helen Makosymiez’s Dixieland Band, featuring musical styles including polka, show tunes, opera and Dixieland.
Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through the end of August, rain or shine, in the Spring Park Pavilion on Main Street.
Other concerts in the series are:
July 16: Bill Brust Band, a five-piece group playing country classics and pop.
July 23: Second Time Around, playing selections from the Big Band era and beyond.
July 30: New York State Old Time Fiddlers Association.
Aug. 6: Cooperfox, presenting a mix of Americana
Aug. 13: The Saints Jazz Quintet Plus One, playing a mix of jazz standards, Dixieland and blues.
Aug. 20: The New Horizons Barbershop Chorus plus the full circle quartet and other quartets, singing a capella in the barbershop style.
Aug. 27: Dan Duggan, combining Irish and American folk music, using hammered dulcimer, banjo and guitar.
