The Summer Musical Theatre Workshop is a two-week, intensive program where the children and teens learn all aspects of production. They audition, are cast, learn staging and choreography as well as and scenic and costume design. The entire production is mounted in two weeks and the children/teens are hands-on in all aspects.
Participation in an Orpheus Theatre workshop allows these students to participate in the group's weekly theater groups, Musical Kids for children, and The Starstruck Players for teens free of charge.
Orpheus' upcoming production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is made up a cast of actors who are veteran workshop performers as well as current Musical Kids members. Performances will be at Foothills at 2 and 8 p.m. July 20 and 2 p.m. July 21.
General admission is $15, or $10 for students and children.
