---- — On Saturday, The B Side Ballroom & Supperclub will be one of 19 official venues nationwide hosting a Waylon Jenning Birthday Bash, where proceeds go to benefit diabetes research at the Waylon Fund.
The night, which will begin at 9:30 p.m., will feature Bloodshot Recording artists the Deadstring Brothers dedicating their first set to Jennings.
Deadstring Broters is an alt-country/rock band from Detroit.
Tickets are $10 and can be reserved by calling the B Side Ballroom. Anyone reserving an advance ticket is automatically entered to win an Epiphone guitar signed by Jennings’ son Shooter, among other prizes.
Working with Waylon Jennings’s widow, Jessi Colter, and their son, Shooter, TGen established the Waylon Jennings Research Fund. All contributions received through this fund support diabetes research at TGen.
