The New Berlin Art Forum will present Rob Norris at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Chase Community Center in Terrace Heights in New Berlin. The concert is the final one in the Art Forum’s 2013-14 season.
According to a media release, Norris is an acoustic guitarist, harmonica player, singer/songwriter and a native New Yorker who has been performing solo and with various bands and other performers throughout the state for the past 20 years. His own bands included the Tax Free Blues Band; he performs both solo and with his band, the Acme Acoustic Band. Norris’ influences include blues, classic rock and country, and acoustic singer-songwriters. He performs original music and cover songs.
The coffeehouse setting will feature desserts and other refreshments available for purchase. Winners of the annual New Berlin Art Forum raffle will be selected from among tickets that will continue to be sold up until that evening. First prize is a $100 gift certificate. Additional prizes include a family membership to the Art Forum; a framed original photograph of a New York state waterfall; a $100 gift card to New York Pizzeria; and a Ceili Rain CD. Tickets are $1 each, or six for $5, available from members of the Art Forum board of directors.
Tickets for this performance are available at the New Berlin Library, Service Pharmacy and at the door for $10 each.
Applications for the annual $500 New Berlin Art Forum Scholarship is available at the Unadilla Valley Central School guidance office. Applicants must be continuing their education in the arts. Completed applications are due Wednesday.
