Two exhibits to open at CANO
The Community Arts Network of Oneonta will host the opening of exhibitions by artists Ashley Cooper and Lillie Anderson from 5 to 8 p.m today at the Wilber Mansion at 11 Ford Avenue in Oneonta. The public is invited to attend. Gallery hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 3 p.m. Sundays and by appointment.
The shows will be open through May 25.

Party of Two to perform
Party of Two, consisting of JoAnn Bertone Chmielowski and DJ Potter, and guest Judy Pitel, will be featured at a benefit at the Little Red School Community at 516 County Highway 11 in Oneonta at 7:30 p.m. Saturday to benefit the Laurens Presbyterian Church. Final auditions for ‘Dreamcoat’ set
The last set of community auditions for Sing a Song of Broadway’s Oneonta production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat” will be this month, with performance dates scheduled for July 24 to 27.
Cast members of all ages from 8 through 50 are needed, with parts rehearsals at the end of May. This last series of open auditions are set for 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church Loft at 12 Ford Ave.; 2:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth El’s Downstairs Social Hall at 83 Chestnut St.; 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s School Gym, at 38 Walnut St.; and 3 to 5 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the First United Methodist Church at 66 Chestnut St.
Those auditioning should plan to sing one slow and one peppy up-tempo song, bringing piano music for them if possible or plan to sing a cappella. No preparation for the movement aspect of tryouts is required but CD accompaniment for dance may be brought along if desired. Also, private individual or small group auditions may be scheduled at the convenience of anyone wishing to do so.
