Cooperstown Lakefront Concert announces lineup

The 10th annual Cooperstown Lakefront Concert Series, featuring family entertainment, will be offered at 7 p.m. every Tuesday starting June 24 through August at the historic bandstand in Lakefront Park in Cooperstown. 

The Village Parks Commission sponsors the series with 10 musical performances by area bands and soloists.

Those who attend should bring a lawn chair or blanket for the free concerts.

The schedule, with a description by the organizers, is as follows

June 24: The Saints Jazz Quintet Plus One, held in memory of Bertha Mae Clancy, a eclectic mix of jazz standards, dixieland, blues and Latin music with vocals.

July 1: Party of Two, a duo that crosses genres, generations and borders with broad appeal.

July 8: Steve Falvo Easy Money Big Band, an 18-member big band that plays music by Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Bobby Darin, Sinatra and more.

July 15: New Horizons Barbershop Chorus & Full Circle Quartet, singing a cappella music in barbershop style. 

July 22: Heaven’s Back Door, an acoustic quartet that interprets traditional and contemporary blues and jazz along with original compositions.

July 29: The Jelly Rolls, an eclectic mix of bluegrass instruments playing hippie tunes.

Aug. 5: Cooperstown Community Band, celebrating 153 years performing patriotic marches, Broadway show tunes, dixieland, jazz, themes and favorites.

Aug. 12: Dyer Switch Band, a bluegrass band.

Aug. 19: Cooperstown Community Band.

Aug. 26: Fritz Henry, solo singer and guitar player who plays a variety of styles
