Stagecoach Run art fest sets dates

The annual Stagecoach Run Art Festival will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 5 and 6.

More than 55 artists from Treadwell and nearby will show their work during this free, two-day studio tour that runs along the Old Stagecoach Turnpike connecting Unadilla on the Susquehanna River to Catskill on the Hudson River. Morton, Helen Quinn, Callie Triarsi, Rachel Phillips Gaetano, Steve Monosson, Rite Ilse, Maryann Stow, JoAnn Chmielowski, Judy Thuss, Glen Fellows, Ellen Sokolow, Terry Fox, Simone Mantellassi, Walter Gurbo, Marie Cummings, Edmond Rinnooy-Kan, Joan Dworkin, Lillie Anderson, Pati Airey, Christine Alexander, Barbara Arden, Nathan Eldred Banks, Charlie Bremer, Martha Bremer, William Buchina, Brian Fox, Elissa Gore, Richard Kathmann, Sinejan Kilic, Bill Lee, Gloria Schofner, Adam Scudder, Bill Quinn, Muffy and Harry Barnes, Anna Sea, Zena Gurbo, Susan Rockmis, Jeff Stevens, Egon Cording, Robert Pickhardt, Cheryl Holzman, Stefanie Rocknak, Elizabeth Nields, Marcus J. The Treadwell Museum of Art and the Bright Hill Literary Center will also be open. The Franklin Stage Company on Institute Street in Franklin will feature a group show with a theme that mirrors the several performances that the popular summer theatre produces.

Maps will be available at local stores and businesses in the area. Numbered yellow signs will identify the various locations. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work and some will present demonstrations. Many of the participants have light snacks available for visitors. In addition, there are four places to stop for food: Barlow’s Store on Main and the Methodist Church Hotdog-Burger stand in Treadwell, the Tulip & Rose Café in Franklin, and the ate o ate gourmet rolling truck at the Fisher’s Barn.
