The Fenimore Art Museum, at 5798 State Route 80 in Cooperstown, will present "Internal Landscape: The Paintings of G.C. Myers" from Saturday through the end of the year.
The exhibition brings together 12 recent works in acrylic on paper, wood and canvas.
According to a media release, "Myers' crisp, clean compositions, bold coloration and stylized rendering transform the natural world into peaceful landscapes that provide moments of stillness and encourage reflection and a renewed sense of purpose."
Myers, a painter from the Finger Lakes, described the emotional tone of his work in the release as "a sense of calmly in the moment, taking in the stillness of the paused now." He called the landscapes he paints "safe havens from the reality of the outside world."
