---- — The Gallery at 128 Main St. in Stamford will host an evening of Latin American folk and flamenco dance at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Puerto Rican vocalist Taína Asili and Sicilian guitarist Gaetano Vaccaro will perform with Brattleboro, Vt., -based dancer Nina Kunimoto for a night of Latin American folk & flamenco.
All three artists have studied under some of the world’s finest flamenco performers, and have performed nationally and internationally in various musical projects, according to a media release.
Asili and Vaccaro traveled to Spain in July for the third time to study with renowned flamenco musicians of contemporary flamenco. This summer they participated an intensive workshop series at El Centro de Arte y Flamenco, studying with flamenco vocalist Esperanza Fernandez. They also received daily instruction at flamenco school Taller Flamenco, studying under flamenco recording artist Alicia Gil and guitarist Francisco “El Pulga” Moralecs.
Kunimoto has studied flamenco dance around the world and teaches at the Luminz Studio in Brattleboro, Vt.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. for tours of the gallery.
