Student artwork to be featured
A multitude of student artwork will canvas the storefronts for April’s downtown Norwich’s Fourth Friday event.
The students of the Holy Family school will display up to 120 pieces of work in the storefronts and inside the Artists’ Palette at The Jill Kraft Gallery today through May 21. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 6 to 8 p.m today with light refreshments and live music by American Composer Don Baragiano. The musician is known for using an Arab Minor Scale (hijaz) and ancient Middle Eastern rhythms “to weave a cosmic tapestry of incredible original music,” a media release said. The show is free and open to the public.
The show is part of the Fourth Friday art event that has been taking place since January. Fourth Friday encompasses up to a dozen merchants that let area artists show their work in their storefront windows month after month.
For more information, call Kraft at 244-1445.
