Anime exhibit to open at library

The Fairview Public Library in Margaretville will  host an art show opening for Cara Suess from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Acrylic paintings and drawings express her love for Japanese animation known as anime.

According to a media release, Suess has been interested in anime since fourth grade starting with Naruto, who is a Ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village, a town in Konoha. She has developed a short, informative piece about each drawing and painting so that those who are unfamiliar with anime will understand the characters represented in her work.

Suess will enter 10th grade this fall at Roxbury Central School. Her other interests are music, flute, singing, drama club, writing fan fiction, photography, gaming, Cos Play and role play.

Refreshments will be served. The show will be on display through Sept. 3.

Library hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit
