Voices to perform holiday concert

The Voices of Cooperstown will present a holiday concert at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15., at Christ Church at 46 River St. in Cooperstown.

A combined ensemble of community singers, professional soloists and musicians will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cantata 140,” “Wachet auf” and “Double Violin Concerto in D-minor,” as well as Jean-Baptiste Lully’s “Grand Motet” and “Exaudiat te Dominus.”

The concert will be conducted by Dan Foster and feature soprano Sabrina Manna, mezzo soprano Aleksandra Romano, Derrick Smith and Joshua Bouillon.

Main View to open exhibit

Main View Gallery & Studio, at 73 Main St. in Oneonta, will open “Off the Wall” holiday show with a reception at 5 p.m. today.

The show will feature jewelry, painted glassware, ornaments, humbugs, cards and paintings by Main View Gallery artists. Purchased items can be taken “off the wall” and home the same day.

Symphony to play Beethoven

Catskill Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s “Triple Concerto” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in SUNY Oneonta’ Hunt Union Ballroom.

The concert will feature Mendelssohn’s “Fourth Symphony,” as well as the group’s premiere of Edward Green’s “Once Upon a Time.”

Performing Beethoven concerto will be violinist Ida Kavafian, cellist Peter Wiley and pianist Jungeun Kim.
