---- — The Open Eye Theater will host “February Fantasia,” a reading performance of 15 original stories and poems by New York state authors about love. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the theater at 960 Main St. in Margaretville.
“We wanted to do something special, relaxed, and fun as we start the downhill run to spring when love is surely in the air,” Open Eye Theater director Amie Brockway said in a media release. “We wanted to invite friends who visit us often, and those who have not seen the theater since it was rebuilt. These are amusing and moving reflections on love.”
Teddy Slater, Wilma Mazo, Vern Vance, Alberts Verdesca, Joseph Kistner, Chris Rosenthal and Barbara Quintero will be among the readers, some reading their own work, others reading the work of other authors. Admission is free, and additional readers are welcome to call (845) 586-1660 to sign up to participate. Donations will be taken forThe Open Eye Theater Roof Fund.
Reservations are recommended; call (845) 586-1660 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
