Smithy Concert Series to end

The Erin Harkes Band will perform in the finale of the 2013 Smithy Concert Series from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Smithy Center for the Arts at 55 Pioneer St. in Cooperstown.

Johnny Cash tribute performance set

The Lake House will bring back the “Ghost of Johnny Cash,” with a performance of Terry Lee Goffee from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Concert series to end Tuesday

The Cooperstown Lakefront Concert Series will conclude its ninth season on Tuesday in Lakefront Park.   

The Donny Brooks will perform at 7 p.m. Based in Cooperstown, the group plays a mix of traditional and modern Celtic music, with an emphasis on high energy, Celtic rock. Combining traditional Irish instrumentation and folk tunes with punk rock influences, the band is made up of Jacob Miller on recorder and vocals, Spencer Vann on bass, vocals and mandolin, Joey Katz on guitar, vocals and mandolin, and Adam Coe on drums and bass.

Participants should bring a lawn chair or blanket to the free concert.

Open mic set for Thursday

The Open Mic in the Yurt at Blue Deer Center will be on Thursday this month and will continue on the fourth Thursday of each month. The open mic will take place from 7  to 9 p.m. at the center at 1155 County Route 6 in Margaretville. For more information, call (845) 586-3225.
