EOH to host Claire Lynch Band

---- — The Claire Lynch Band will bring will bring its award-winning bluegrass once again to the historic main stage of the Earlville Opera House at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Lynch has twice earned The International Bluegrass Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year title, as well as two Grammy nominations. Jason Thomas has won the Canadian Open Mandolin Championship and Florida State Championship on fiddle and mandolin. Matt Wingate garnered the title of MerleFest Doc Watson Guitar Champion; and Mark Schatz has two IBMA Bass Player of the Year awards. 

The band’s recently released “Dear Sister”  was nominated for IBMA’s 2013 Album of the Year.  The band is touring in support of its new CD. 

This performance will be the first time that the band has played the Earlville Opera House since July 2010, when the Opera House was hit by lightning near the end of the first set.

The EOH Theater is wheelchair-accessible with a ramp and a lift. The three EOH Art Galleries, the artisan’s gift shop and the EOH Arts Café will be open. The opera house is at 18 E. Main St. in Earlville
