State Police said today they are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Otsego County Route 22 in the town of Otsego that claimed the life of a 36-year-old Hartwick man and left two other men injured.
Cole D. Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred at 10:50 p.m. Monday, troopers said.
The crash resulted when a 1995 Ford driven by George P. Dahrough, 52, of Exter, crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a 1990 Toyota driven by Jesse. D. Snyder, 82, of Richfield Springs.
Cole Snyder was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Jesse Snyder, police said. If and how the two Snyders are related was not indicated by police.
Jesse Snyder was listed in critical condition at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown after he was transported there by Schuyler Lake Ambulance. Dahrough was taken by Cooperstown Medical Transport to Bassett for treatment of minor injuries.
