A state of emergency was declared in Delaware County at 7:30 a.m. today by
Delaware County Board of Supervisors Chairman James E. Eisel.
All roads in Delaware County are closed and all Delaware County offices are closed for today.
The county Emergency Services Department announced that areas of the county are experiencing flooding and road closures due to downed trees and power lines.
Steve Hood, emergency services spokesman, said Delhi is inaccessible from all directions and numerous roads have sustained water damage.
Hood said county officials are contacting the National Weather Service to determine how high the river may rise as additional rain continues to fall.
