-- — The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a flash flood warning for Southern Chenango County and Southern Otsego County until 10:15 p.m.
NWS Doppler radar estimates and rain gauge reports indicated excessive rainfall over the warned areas. Thunderstorms moving across the same area have dropped 1 to 2 inches of rain with isolated higher amounts in an hour. Another 1 to 3 inches of rain are possible by 8 p.m.
The locations include Oneonta. Rapid flooding of streams, creeks, urban areas and poor drainage areas is likely.
