Tony Pacherille Sr. of Herkimer and Angelo David Pacherille of the town of Maryland have been charged with aggravated harassment in connection with an "alarming, annoying and harassing" website post, according to a media release from the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.
The arrests are the result of an investigation stretching back to May 2011, when deputies received a complaint from a town of Otsego resident about a website that had been set up to harass her and her family. Investigators seized computers from Tony Pacherille's former residence in the village of Cooperstown, which were analyzed by the Utica Police Department Digital Forensics Laboratory. The investigation revealed that both Pacherilles were involved in the creation of the post.
Both men were arraigned on Nov. 21 and released on recognizance. They are to appear before the Otsego County Supreme Court at a date to be determined. If convicted, they face up to a year in jail.
