Cooperstown venues to host series of films


"Microcosmos," which will be will will be shown at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church chapel, and the "32nd Black Maria Film Festival," which will be shown at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cooperstown Distillery, have been sold out.

Other events include an opening party at the Smithy Center for the Arts on Friday following "Harmony" and a closing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fenimore Art Museum.

There will also be local food and spirits tastings, trail and bike tours, and a walk Doubleday Field to see how the village of Cooperstown is managing baseball's most famous diamond without the use of pesticides Saturday at noon at the Doubleday Field grandstand, rain or shine.
