Restored neon light to glow at Cherry Valley business
A neon sign that has been out 30 years has been restored and will be turned on during an event next weekend, according to owners of The Tepee in Cherry Valley said.â€©â€©The Lighting Celebration of the Resorted Neon Tepee Sign will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. July 12, according to a media release from Donna and Dale Latella. A reception will follow an official lighting, they said.
Mallinckrodt to hold job fair for laid-off workers
Mallinckrodt, which is downsizing by 80 or more employees, is sponsoring a free job fair at the Holiday Inn on state Route 23 in Oneonta from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 9, according to the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce newsletter.

Workshops set on tax credits for historical properties
