LOCAL FITNESS INSTRUCTOR PENS BOOK
A local fitness instructor and gym owner has published a book on his specialty.
Roger Hall’s book, “Kettlebell Fitness,” is published by Hatherleigh Press, a division of Random House Publishing, located in Hobart. In the book, Hall outlines “a comprehensive and challenging workout regime for people of all levels from the beginner who is looking to gain strength, loose weight, and get back in shape to the seasoned athlete who wants something new to change up their regular workout routine,” according to a media release.
While Body Sculpting with Kettlebells for Men is geared towards men, the workouts in the book, as with the classes at my gym are accessible, challenging, and effective for both men and women.
Hall is the owner of Catskill Kettlebells, located at 2 Depot St. in Delhi. Workouts featured in his book at at his gym utilize kettlebells, round weights with large handles based on a Russian design.
Hall became involved in fitness while completing a master’s degree in education at the University at Albany. While working as a high school teacher, Hall trained for and received certification as a kettlebell instructor. He began teaching at a friend’s gym before opening his own space, where he has more than 70 group fitness and personal training clients.
ONLINE COURSE TO DEBUT AT USC
The Utica School of Commerce will debut an online associate’s degree in business administration program online, according to a media release from the school.
Graduates from this program can continue their studies at a four-year college where they can earn their bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in their specific field of concentration.
