ALDI has been named 2014 Retailer of the Year by Private Label Store Brands magazine.
ALDI has a store at 763 State Highway 28 on Southside Oneonta. More than 90 percent of products at ALDI are its own brand rather than national brand items, the retailer’s website said.
The chain retailer was recognized for its “strong commitment to value and innovation-focused private brand product development,” according to Private Label Store Brands. Each year, the editors of the magazine recognize a retailer for achievement and contributions to the growth of store brand products.
“ALDI’s fast and furious expansion across the United States can be attributed to the retailer’s unparalleled ability to deliver value — the highest-quality exclusive brands sold at the lowest possible price,” the Private Label Store Brands website said. The honor was reported in the magazines’ February cover story, which is available online at www.plstorebrands.com/article-ready__set__grow-6720.html.
