Mallinckrodt, which is downsizing by 80 or more employees, is sponsoring a free job fair at the Holiday Inn on state Route 23 in Oneonta from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 9, according to the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce newsletter.
The Mallinckrodt employees are seeking jobs and have years of experience in production work, machine operations, packaging, quality control and lab processes, warehouse operations and advanced chemistry, according to a Chamber notice.

Brian Marshall, regional manager at Cazenovia Equipment Co., said the event will give consumers a chance to find out about and test drive different models of equipment, such as lawn and garden tractors.
“The best thing about this event is the fact that we have lots of different John Deere equipment available so folks can check out all the features and benefits,” he said in a media release.

MUSEUM IN NORWICH HIGHLIGHTS MUSTANGS
The Northeast Classic Car Museum and Matthews Ford Planet PreOwned will present Mustang Mania Day in Norwich on Saturday in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Mustang.
Admission will be half-price to the museum, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a media release.
At 1:30 p.m., Jerome Malinowski will speak in the museum’s NBT Bank Event Center on “The Enigma of the American Icon _ The DNA of the Ford Mustang.”
Malinowski was one of the designers who contributed to the development of the Mustang, the release said, and he is a professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and coordinator of its industrial design program.
