Area campground completes improvements
Meadow-Vale Campsites in Mount Vision has completed a project to upgrade electrical service, among other improvements, the owners announced in a recent media release.
Wayne and Cecelia Schleder, owners of the 110-site campground and recreational-vehicle park, said electric service for 36 sites has been upgraded to 30/50-amp service, for a total of 53 sites. There are also 24 sites with 30-amp service.
Cecelia Schleder said improvements were made possible by working with local partners, including Community Bank of Oneonta, which provided financing, Otsego Electric Cooperative Inc., which provided implementation assistance, and Rozella and Son Electrical Contractors, which installed the electric service.
Other improvements, which were completed by Memorial Day weekend, included the addition of 400 feet of drainage pipe, removal of trees and repositioning of the electric service on the site, the release said.
Meadow-Vale Campsites is open daily through Columbus Day. For more information, or to make reservations, visit www.meadow-vale.com or call 293-8802.
