Community Bank is moving its Southside Oneonta branch office to a site that will accommodate drive-through lanes and take on the bank’s name.
Joseph Sutaris, senior vice president and regional banking executive for Community Bank’s Central NY Region, said in a media release that the office at Southside Mall will move to 4987 State Route 23 in Oneonta. The commercial site, where Metro Mattress and Country Junction are located, will be called Community Bank Plaza, according to an agreement with the property owner.
The relocation will be during the fourth quarter of this year, Sutaris said, and customers will continue to be served at the mall until the plaza facility is ready for occupancy.
“The Southside Mall has been a good landlord and is going through some exciting changes,’’ Sutaris said in a prepared statement. “We believe, however, that the bank’s customers will be better served by the new location.”
Community Bank signed a lease with Temple Realty Holding LLC to rent about 2,750 square feet at its newly renovated building on Route 23, the release said. The banks’ new location will have three drive-through lanes, including a drive-up automated teller machine, customer parking, a conference room and safe deposit boxes.
