“I make cupcakes, pies, cookies and fudge — but my specialty is cupcakes,” Bettiol said.
Another featured item sold at East End Café and Laundry are Pup Cakes — homemade dog cookies in several dog-friendly flavors.
“We have our fingers in a lot of pies,” Bettiol said. “When Paula leaves here she goes to her other business, House of Brides. And when I am done here, I go home and bake. Our family has always been involved in a lot in Oneonta. My brother has All-Star Village, Sabatini’s and Christopher’s.”
Whereas the café is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, the coin-operated laundry is open 24 hours a day, every day. There is WIFI throughout the building and air conditioning in the summer. They offer and wash, dry and fold for $10 a load.
“I don’t really need to weigh it, I can look at it and tell if it is a load,” Bettiol said. “And I just want to say, we have very clean bathrooms.”
The twins both said they enjoy seeing friends and relatives on a daily basis and are happy to contribute to the fabric of their community.
“We just like to keep busy,” Fassler said.
