SUNY Delhi has been awarded a five-year renewal of its Institute for Sustainable Power Training Program accreditation by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council for its photovoltaic courses.
This renewal is in recognition of the college's standards in assuring quality and energy-efficient solar electric training, the State University College of Technology at Delhi said in a media release issued this month.
SUNY Delhi first received the IREC accreditation for its "Photovoltaics: Design and Installation" course in 2005 and is among few state colleges accredited for solar energy technician training.
SUNY Delhi's accreditation was made possible by a grant from New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
