---- — Some may find this column offensive, but I don’t care. I have an email of unedited news photos of the Boston bombing. Do you want to see Americans with limbs blown off, muscle and flesh torn away from bones, and the streets smeared with our blood? My email address is at the bottom of the page. Let me know, and I’ll forward it to you.
Are we stupid? About 100 years ago, Pancho Villa raided Columbus, N.M., and killed about 18 Americans. In retaliation, President Woodrow Wilson ordered General “Black Jack” Pershing to lead a combined armed force of 10,000 men into Mexico. They penetrated 350 miles, routed Pancho Villa’s revolutionaries and severely wounded the bandit, but failed to capture him. However, he got the message!
Fast forward a few generations and America has been hit with the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, the terrorist hijacking of the Achille Lauro Cruise Ship, the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, and the attack on the USS Cole.
On 9/11, 3,000 Americans were killed on American soil. This was followed by the Fort Hood shooting, a husband beheading his wife in Buffalo, and the unsuccessful Times Square bomber.
Let’s not forget the video of Daniel Pearl, an American journalist who was beheaded in Pakistan in 2002. Last year in Benghazi, four Americas went down fighting, while their cries for help were largely ignored.
Last month in Boston, (Think about that. Boston, where it all started.) innocent men, women, and children were blown to bits by premeditated murderers, to whom we had granted asylum, welcomed to our country, and supported financially with welfare.
Since 1972, thousands of Americans have been killed by terror in the United States, and worldwide, terrorists’ attacks have numbered in the hundreds. What do they have in common? With few exceptions, they were perpetrated by Muslim terrorists or Jihadists.
In fact, 30 of the 31 terrorists on the FBI’s most wanted list are Muslims. Add to that the recent PEW Poll showing that 28 percent of the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world believe that violence against civilians is justified, and America, we have a problem!
Unfortunately, in the land of “we don’t want to offend” that America has become, we find the excuses for men, who now lead this country, wringing their hands and crying again and again and again, “Justice will be done. The guilty will pay.” Meanwhile, our people are being killed, and hundreds more are losing limbs or being maimed for life. Our day-to-day lives have been changed forever.
Our leaders lack the courage, the will, the manhood, and the sacred sense of duty to stand up to this evil, call it for what it is, and do whatever it takes to protect the American people.
I realize the only time it is correct to paint with a broad brush is when it comes to gun owners, but let me repeat the previous question. Are we stupid? How long are we going to stand by and let more and more Muslims emigrate into the United States? Even voices on the Left, like liberal commentator Bob Beckel, are calling for a halt until we can sort things out.
No one is advocating internment camps, like what happened to Japanese-Americans during World War II. Everyday American Muslims lead their lives peacefully, as do other Americans, but with the current carnage and upheaval in the Muslim world, imams spreading hatred of America, and anti-American protests in every Muslim nation, isn’t it time to protect ourselves?
Is not our safety paramount? Ask yourself this question. Forgetting the attacks overseas and just concentrating on those that took place on American soil, how many of the terrorists were actually born here? The answer is damn few. How many more Americans have to be murdered by foreigners, in America, before we say “enough”? The answer is, too many already have!
People say that Muslims are publicly condemning such attacks. That may be true, but if so, could you speak up? I’m having trouble hearing you.
If Christians immigrants were flying planes into buildings, killing thousands of innocent Americans in the name of Christ, rest assured the Vatican, Cardinal Dolan, Father Murphy, Reverend Young and Mother Katherine would be screaming for them to stop, and this column would be calling for a halt to immigration from any and all Christian nations.
Thoughts of the week: 1. From Fred — “Isn’t it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, but after a shooting, the problem is the gun?” 2. From Bill — “My guns aren’t illegal. They’re undocumented.”
