Feb. 25, 1983

The Parish Council of St. Mary's Catholic Church has appointed six parishioners to serve on the newly-formed Board of Education at St. Mary's School.

Members of the school board are: Cynthia Obidinski of Hartwick Road, Jean Caravello of Mount Vision, Joanne Johnston of Oneonta, Barbara Polgar of Oneonta, Margaret Decker of Oneonta and John L. Zelker of Milford Center.

The Rev. William Jillisky, pastor of St. Mary's, also will serve as a board member. Sister Francis Kosier, interim principal of the school, will act as executive secretary to the board.

50 years ago

Feb. 25, 1958

The Holstein Friesian Association of America has announced that six area registered Holsteins were included in recent export transactions.

A bull from the herd of Mrs. Gertrude Low and Son, Milford, has been transferred to Israel Cattle Breeders Association, Tel Aviv, Israel.

D. R. Chambers of Unadilla has sold five heifers to the Department of Agriculture and Commerce of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, San Juan, P.R.
