COOPERSTOWN _ Wilber National Bank plans to open a full-service branch office at 62 Main St., where in a building now occupied by Arthur T. Peevers Inc., a real estate and insurance firm.

The office could be open as early as September, depending on when approval is received from the regional administrator of the national banks, according to Robert W. Moyer, Wilber's president and chief executive officer.

Wilber, with its main office at 245 Main St., Oneonta, has branch offices in Milford, Schenevus, Morris and Otego, as well as two in the town of Oneonta, at 434 Chestnut St., and in the Pyramid Mall on the city's East End.

The 110-year-old institution has assets of approximately $140 million and is the only independent commercial bank headquartered in Otsego County.

Arthur Peevers said his firm would move on July 1 to 19 Leatherstocking St., in a building that temporarily has housed the Otsego County Board of Elections and the county government's manpower office, while the courthouse has been undergoing renovations.

Peevers has owned the 62 Main St. building since 1963.

Other financial institutions with offices in this village of 2,300 include Key Bank, Bankers Trust of Albany and Oneonta Federal Savings and Loan Association.

SCHENEVUS _ Miss Nancy Green and Ronald Ross were crowned King and Queen of the Draper School Senior Ball.

Attendents were Mary Schmiedel, 1958 Queen; Marilyn Houghton, 1959 runner-up; Philip Klein, 1959 runner-up; and Thomas Hynes, 1958 King.
