Three new members of the Oneonta Jayncees have been honored for their service to the organization.

Beverly Rovelli was named Chairman of the Year for the project she initiated for the elderly and her Healthy Baby Week.

Judy Taggart was named Jayncee of the Year for her work on membership, Brainstorming Projects, Helping Hands and St. Jude's shortcake booth. Safe houses for school children were established in the Helping Hands project.

Key woman named was Barbara Brown for her outstanding dedication to every project during the year.

Officers installed were Judy Taggart, president; Denise Hazlett, internal vice president; Roberta Austin, external vice president; Kay Harrison, treasurer; Vera Sosnowksi, secretary; and Carol Ryan and Nancy Lynch, directors.

July 5, 1958

SIDNEY _ Mrs. Norman Craft, retiring president of the Home School Organization, announced the Class of 1958 of Sidney High School has presented the group a check for $100.

The money, raised by the students through various class projects, is to be used to augment the Ralph F. Pyle Memorial Scholarship established by the organization.

This year a total of four $200 scholarships were awarded. Recipients were Lucy Brown who will attend Buffalo STC; Nancy Dean, and Beverly Ostrander, who are enrolled at Oneonta STC, and Norma Turtur who will attend Cortland STC.

Presentation of the check was made by James Simpson, class president. Other officers are John MacDonald, vice president; Beverly Ostrander, secretary; and Dennis McCarty, treasurer.

Class advisers were Miss Ruth Saullsbury, Robert Rankins, Ray Sheldon and George Diehl.
