Even though there are "his" and "hers" doors at 9-11 Cherry St. the yellow duplex is called "Our House."
Jina Corriero, who lives at 9 Cherry St., said the idea for making the signs came from the recent popular song, "Our House," by the rock group Madness.
"It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. It is our house and we do live in the middle of the street," she said, paraphrasing the lyrics of the song. "It's funny. We didn't expect this."
Miss Corriero shares her apartment with two others _ Lisa Prosinos and Nancy Kennedy. The men at 11 Cherry St. are Mike O'Shea, Robert Aubel and Robert Linekin.
All are seniors at SUCO.
Linekin said the landlord, Charles Rynkiewicz, plans to build a porch on the house and has installed new steps.
None of the tenants, Miss Corriero and Linekin said, knew one another until they moved into "Our House."

RICHFIELD SPRINGS _ Deowonga Island, in Canadarago Lake, has been offered by the owner, James J. Byard III of Schuyler Lake, to the Mohawk Valley Boating Association for the use of the association.
Plans were formulated Wednesday evening to take over the island property and a special meeting called for Sept. 17 in the Citizens First National Bank Building in Frankfort to complete the plans. The island several years ago gave up some Indian artifacts to a state historical group who were excavacating there for Indian lore.
Already water has been discovered on the island by well driller, Lloyd Durand of Frankfort. The island will have to be cleaned up, sanitary facilities installed, a club house provided and docks and landing places planned for the owner's boats.
The club has a membership of about 75. The officers are: President, David Palmer; treasurer, Mrs. Helen Fulmer; and secretary, Roy Gurney, all of Ilion.
The island has been in the Byard family for several generations. Mel L. Thomas of E. Lake Road, Richfield Springs, has been overseer of the property.
