HAMDEN _ The Presbyterian Women's Association served the 10th anniversary luncheon for 81 retired teachers from Delaware County. Mrs. Howard Rose of Oneonta, one of the organizers in 1974, was speaker.
Mrs. Rose, as Friendly Service chairman, and Mrs. Frances Hill, as director, worked with the New York State officers to form a Delaware County organization.
Officers elected for 1984 included Ruth Hull of Downsville, president; Gerald Hutton of Downsville, vice president; Agnes Reed of Walton, secretary; Frances Hill of Walton, treasurer; Iva Terry of Andes, friendly service; Merle Houck of Delhi, director.

SOUTH KORTRIGHT _ The seniors of South Kortright Central School are now rehearsing their annual fall play.
This year's presentation is a 3-act comedy, "Don't Darken My Door!" by Anne Coulter Martens. It will be presented Friday evening, Oct. 24, at the Central School Auditorium.
Acting and assisting in the production are JoAnn Askew, Margaret Kenyon, Damaris Yanson, Anne Marie Archibald, Joan Dyer, Dorothy Collins, Phyllis Turan, Bruce Guttridge, Ernest Hitchcock, Kevin Bligh, and Philip Blodgett.
